The Boardwalk Collection - Promenade

Photo Credit: Juju Vail for Kettle Yarn Co

Since this is a part of a blog tour I will write this post in English.

Linda from Kettle Yarn Co contacted me a couple of months ago and asked if I was interested in a collaboration. I hadn't tried Islington DK myself but when I asked my knitting group they told me that it was amazing. "You got to try it!" And I did.

This yarn is really beautiful and the shine is fantastic. I used the colorway Neckinger. It's green with small fractions of mustardy yellow hiding but it still has a solid feel to it. Absolutely beautiful! Kettle Yarn Co Islington DK contains 55% British Bluefaced Leicester and 45% silk and the yardage is 212m per 100g and you'll need 3(3, 3, 4, 4, 4) for the size range XS(S, M, L, XL, XXL).

The Boardwalk Collection contains designs from Rachel C. Brown, Rachel Coopey, Isabell Kraemer, Renée Callahan, Linda Lencovic and myself. All samples can be viewed in this beautiful e-publication:

My design in the collection is called Promenade Cardigan and it is a cropped lace cardigan perfect for layering and to be worn with a dress on a chilly summer evening. It suits a high waisted dress or skirt perfectly and it has a vintage feel to it. It's worked in one piece from the bottom up to the sleeves were the back and the two fronts are worked seperately and the sleeves are worked in doleman style.
